Art Retreats At Sea Who Are They For?
Art Retreats at Paint by Destination are designed for artists who want to travel slowly, paint freely, and experience a destination through its creative culture, not a classroom. If you love to paint but don’t need guidance from a professional instructor, and you’re more drawn to discovering local artists and creative communities than following a structured curriculum, our Art Retreats are for you.
There is no instructor on board, no class schedule, and no critiques. Instead, you’ll receive your own Paint by Destination artist journal and a beautifully designed retreat workbook filled with daily painting prompts, destination guides, and introductions to local artists and artisans. We coordinate visits to with local artisans and creatives who want to share their craft with us.
You will have more free time to paint as well. Paint on deck in the morning, explore ashore in the afternoon, or sit with your sketchbook and let the view do the talking. What you will always have is a dedicated host looking after your group, a painting space reserved exclusively for the retreat, and a small circle of like-minded artists who understand exactly why you came.
